Journal of Environmental Accounting and Management is committed to maintaining access to its scholarly record beyond the operating life of the current website. Preservation planning covers published article metadata, versions of record, issue materials, hosted supplementary files, and linked correction, retraction, or other post-publication notices.

LOCKSS publisher manifest

The journal exposes an OJS LOCKSS Publisher Manifest that permits LOCKSS-compatible preservation systems to collect, preserve, and serve eligible published content.

A functioning publisher manifest is technical preparation for harvesting. It is not, by itself, evidence that a preservation network has completed a deposit. L&H will only describe content as deposited when the receiving network reports a successful archival status.

Independent preservation status

Operational continuity

Operational backups of the journal database and article files support service recovery but do not replace independent preservation. DOI landing pages, article identifiers, bibliographic metadata, licenses, and post-publication notices should remain stable during platform migration or restoration. Any replacement platform must preserve existing article URLs or provide permanent redirects.

Monitoring and transparency

The publisher will review preservation status after platform upgrades and at least annually. When an external preservation service is activated, this page will identify the service and the most recent verified deposit date. Failed or incomplete deposits will not be represented as successful preservation.
